David “Dave” Helgesen grew up in Kelowna and still calls the Okanagan home. For him, a finished patio or retaining wall is part of the community he grew up in. That makes the work personal—and gives him a reason to care about what carries his name.
He founded Lone Wolf Hardscapes around quality work, fair treatment and taking responsibility for the finished project. Building that company also taught him how much there is to running the business beyond the jobsite.
He spent six years learning things he wishes he had known from the beginning: how to put the right foundations in place, build practical systems and make decisions with a clearer picture of the business. That knowledge arrived through experience. He does not want the next owner to spend the same years figuring it out alone.
Flint & Scale is his way of passing those lessons on. Dave brings the perspective of someone who has been on the jobsite, carried the responsibility of ownership and learned why good work needs a well-run business behind it.
Together with Luke, he helps owners combine real business experience with useful technology—so they can start with more clarity and build with more confidence.
